Extreme Home Makeover ?!?

I think not . . . they destroy and build a completely brand new house in ONE WEEK!  It seems it may take us ONE YEAR just to build the new house.  However, Madison has fun playing in the open walls!

It’s Official ( as of 06/23/09 )

Cailey finally rolled over.  She has been teasing us for some time now.  She would get all the way over on her side and just stay there.  I have millions of pics of her in this position because I just knew she would get all the way over.   However, as this little girl has proven in many other ways, she is going to do things when SHE is ready.  I feel we have a long road ahead of us.  She is already proving to be very head strong!!  Of course, I don’t have any idea where she would inherit a trait like that?!?!

Animals

Madison absolutely adores animals.  It really doesn’t matter what kind, big or small, she just is awed by them.  She has for a long time even referred to people by the names of their pets!  So, it makes her day ( or week, month, year ) when she goes to Pop and Nana’s, because  friends of ours that live near them have 2 Donkeys and a horse.  Next time you see her, you must ask what she feeds the donkeys!

Hair

Cailey was born with LOTS of hair and so DARK!!!  She has a typical bald spot in the back which her mother agonizes over thinks is precious!  Anway – lots of long hair leads to mornings that look like this . . . ( and yes, I know she will LOVE me for this one day ) !!

she is such a cute, loveable, sweet, obeying, perfect 2 1/2 year old.  ( or that is what Daddy and Mommy see through their rose colored glasses )

What you can’t buy . . .

is fun, quality time with family.  We try to see our parents ( now known as the grandparents ) about every 2-3 weeks.  They claim to not be able to function if we don’t!  Seriously, Madison LOVES her Papa and Gma and her Pop and Nana.  I know Cailey will have the same connection soon enough.  Here are some pics from a trip to my parents and just as an added bonus the great grandparents were there also.  We had yummy chicken salad croisants and homemade ice cream.  YUM!!

And, as you should expect this post should be dated 06/05

Cailey loves . . .

to sit in her bumbo seat.  She R.E.A.L.L.Y likes to sit on the kitchen counter and watch mommy cook, clean, etc.

She also loves this Sassy toy and her taggies that Stephanie made.

Look at me . . .

So, this really should be dated 05/30, but what do you expect from a part-time working mom of TWO girls only 2 years apart.  And – a mom that is building a house !  Oh – and a mom who has been temporarily living in a small townhouse where the computer is in her 2 1/2 year old daughter’s room.  The only time I do have time to blog is when the girls sleep, and hmm, the computer is in her room.  My husband, because he is SOOOO good with computers and wiring and such, tried to move the computer into our room.  This only led to me, his wife, being without internet access for almost 2 weeks.  He says it was good for me, and I said, well, we won’t go there.

Getting back to the point . . . because I never ramble or get off topic.

Look at where Cailey takes her baths now . . . and like I said . . . where she has for some time.  She LOVES bath time !  Madison enjoys sharing also.  It makes our night time routine a lot easier.  The girls are both early to bed because they are both EARLY ( 6:00 ) to rise.  This does leave nice time for me and Jeremy to have adult conversations at night.  ( or catch up on sleep ourselves )

My goal is to get this blog up to date . . . we will see how I do.  Maybe some prayers should be said?!?

I’ve been absent . . .

It’s been a while, and I will post later about all our fun times we are having.  For now, I have to tell how blunt children can be.

As posted before, we are trying ( or at least sometimes ) to potty train Madison.  So, it is not any fun when she has had LOTS  of fresh fruit and veggies and then has a BM in the diaper instead of going to the potty.  Tonight we had this conversation . . .

Daddy: ” oh, Madison, that is alienish!! ”  ( speaking of the contents in the diaper )

Madison: ” No, daddy, it’s poop “

I am laughing all over again as I type this.  Really, kids will say ANYTHING!!!
